Requiem Trinity: Savanna! pt. 4

A few days later, Savanna was sitting on her bed with her cat in her arms and the dog lying behind her back. Savanna was looking outside her window with a puzzle look on her face, knowing today was the day she had to speak about her mother, and she sat there thinking on how to get out of it. She keep on petting her cat on her lap as she purring away, and hearing the dog snoring a bit behind her as she slept across the bed. Savanna was thinking on a good idea, faking a cough that hoping her mother or her grandparents will believe her that she sick. She keeps it up a bit more, and then her grandmother came upstairs to check on Savanna, hearing the coughing, and came into the room. “Oh my, are we sick?” Grandmother asks Savanna walking up to Savanna bed.

Sanna nodded her head, coughing a bit more, and then saying in a fake weak voice, “Yes grandmother… I am sick… I cannot go to school today.” She throw in a few fake mourning and groaning to make sure it will work, and laying on Zelda back a bit.

“I will let you stay home from school, you rest my dear, and I will be you something to get you better,” Grandmother say to Savanna, leaving the room, and running into Mellissa on the stairs.

“Hello mother, why are you in a hurry?” Mellissa asks standing halfway up the stairs, looking at her mother, and wondering what is going on now.

“Savanna is sick, poor little dear. I am going to make her some soup to get better, and she staying home from school today,” Grandmother told Mellissa heading the rest away down the stairs and to the kitchen to make the soup for Savanna.

“Really, she sick?” Mellissa saying to herself, as she was thinking that Savanna was fine when she got up this morning, and going upstairs to the room to see if this was true or not. She stood outside the door, peaking into the room to see Savanna sitting on the bed with her pets beside her, and seeing a frown on Savanna face.

Savanna keep on petting her pets with her hands, then saying, “I don’t want to deal with my classmates today… Everyone parents have good paying jobs to keep them away from being poor… I have nothing to what they have; my family cannot keep up with the bills, taxes, and stuff… I hate being poor… I hate have those night terrors every night.”

“Night terrors?” Mellissa whisper to herself, and listening more to Savanna talking. “She never told me that she suffering with them at all.” Mellissa push the door open a bit, making it look like she does not know anything Savanna was saying before, and looking at Savanna to say, “Grandmother was right, you do look sick.”

Savanna fake being sick again to Mellissa, and saying in a fake weak voice, “Yes mommy, my tummy and head not feeling well enough to go to school today.” She lay her head down on her pillow, and pulling the blanket around her body.

Mellissa touch Savanna forehead with her right hand, thinking to what she feeling, and saying, “Well you don’t feel like you have a fever… Maybe you should tell me what is going on now.” Mellissa sat down on the edge of Savanna bed, looking at Savanna laying there, and thinking about what she heard Savanna was saying earlier.

Savanna sat up on her bed, looking at Mellissa with worry eyes, and lowering her head. She stay in silent from Mellissa, hearing her grandparents leaving for the day, and Savanna pet her pets with her hands. “Mommy?” Savanna ask in a worry voice, rubbing her hands together, and thinking on what she going to say to her Mellissa.

“Yes Savanna?” Mellissa asking Savanna, thinking what was on Savanna mind now, and maybe hoping Savanna will tell her what wrong.

Savanna looks down at her hands, trying to find the right words to say, and slowly speaking to her mother, “Mommy, I been having nightmares every night, and they getting worse now… Mommy, how can I stop them?” She shivering in fear, wrapping her arms around her body, and tears slowly started to roll down her small cheeks.

Mellissa place her right hand on Savanna left shoulder, looking into Savanna eyes, and saying, “By telling someone about them… What type of nightmares are you having?”

Savanna move off her bed, walking around her room a bit, then saying to Mellissa, “Sometimes I dream about you dieing. Then blood all over the place, echoes of people screaming in terror, and barks fingers in flames.” Savanna shiver in fear now, she places both hands on the side of her head, and wanting to scream loudly.

Mellissa got off the bed, walking up to Savanna, and taking Savanna right hand. “Come with me,” Mellissa told Savanna, walking out of the room with Savanna with her, and heading downstairs to the back door.

Savanna did not know where or why Mellissa taking her away from the house into the trees, and walking among the trail to a small pond area. Mellissa let go of Savanna hand, walking a few feet away from Savanna, and looking down at the pond water. “What are you looking at?” Savanna asks Mellissa walking up behind her mother.

“Come take a look at the water to see why you’re suffering with night terrors,” Mellissa say moving to the side, seeing Savanna walking up slowly up to the water, and watching to see what will happen.

Savanna took one look at the pond water, seeing imagines of her nightmares coming alive in the water, Savanna stood there in terror with fear running through her blood, and Savanna say to Mellissa in a scared voice, “Make it stop…. MAKE IT STOP!” Savanna shot her hand out at the water, sending a little purple orb at the water, and making the water slashing everywhere.

Mellissa felt the water raining down on them, she walks up to Savanna, placing her hands on Savanna shoulders, kneeling down behind Savanna, and pulling Savanna down to her lap. “It is okay little one; the pond was showing what could happen in the future to you… By the sound in your screaming it was not looking good at all.” She wrap her arms around Savanna little body, and asking to her, “Can you tell me what you saw?”

Savanna shiver badly in Mellissa arms, then slowly spoke, “I saw blood everywhere in the town but across to another planets, and Dark monsters fighting with a young girl with long white, almost sliver hair. She stood with a group of people with weapons in their hands, and they were fighting the dark monsters… A dark teenage boy stood watching it all, with his dark coat around him, and he was after one person that group. He is going to hired you to kill off this group of people, and mommy, I do not think you will survive one fight at all… It is too scary to see now.” Savanna laid her head on Mellissa right shoulder, playing with a piece of her hair in her hands.

Mellissa comfort Savanna in her arms, and saying to her daughter to calm her down, “I will never leave you. You are my daughter, everything in my life, and my little girl no matter what… I will live forever for you, but you have to know I will have to leave to get some more money for the family okay, but I will be careful when I go to work okay.” Laying a hand on the back of Savanna head, rubbing her fingers through Savanna hair, and comforting her.

“Promise me, you will come visit me twice a year,” Savanna told in Mellissa arms, and thinking to herself.

“I promise, Christmas and your birthday I will come visit you,” Mellissa told Savanna, looking down into her daughters eyes, and smiling at her.

“Pinkie promise,” Savanna say holding up her pinkie at Mellissa, and smiling at her mother.

Mellissa wraps her pinkie around Savanna pinkie, then saying, “Pinkie promise.”

Savanna smiled at her mother, wrapping her arms around Mellissa body, and hugging her mother happy. “I love you forever mommy.”

“I love you forever too my daughter, and I will keep you safe forever,” Mellissa say to Savanna, then looking up to see glowing red eyes looking at them, and hearing a low growling coming from the brushes. “Savanna lets head home now,” Mellissa, say getting off the ground, picking Savanna up into her arms, and walking back to the house quickly as she can.
